Come to the Clarke Historical Museum for a free workshop on earthquake and tsunami preparedness led by Lori Dengler (Professor Emeritus of Geology at Humboldt State University), Troy Nicolini (meteorologist at the National Weather Service and co-chair of Redwood Coast Tsunami Work Group), and Kerry Sherin (Outreach Coordinator for HSU's Geology Department's Earthquake and Tsunami Education Program). This is an all ages event. Sponsored by Provident Credit Union.
September 26th is also Museum Day Live! In the spirit of the Smithsonian Museums, which offer free admission every day, Museum Day Live! is an annual event hosted bySmithsonian magazine in which participating museums across the country open their doors to anyone presenting a Museum Day Live! ticket... for free. The Museum Day Live! ticket provides free admission for two people.
