WHAT IS THE ARCATA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE?

The Arcata Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization operating to enhance and improve the business environment in Arcata and the Humboldt Bay area. The Chamber actively pursues new business opportunities for its members, and strives to make a tangible Return on Investment for its members. In addition to having created this region’s first California Welcome Center, the Arcata Chamber is also on the forefront of growth and development in regional eco-tourism.
 

HOW DOES THE ARCATA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE WORK?

The Chamber’s success is achieved by the involvement and participation of its members. The Chamber’s Board of Directors, who are elected by the membership, establishes the policies of the group and defines the goals and objectives of the organization. From major industry to small retail shops, from South G to Valley West, the Arcata Chamber of Commerce constantly strives to create healthy and conscientious economic growth opportunities for our members. Arcata's California Welcome Center

The Arcata Chamber of Commerce proudly operates the California Welcome Center in Arcata. The California Welcome Centers (CWC) are California's Official State Visitor Centers offering valuable information and services for today's traveler.
 
The CWCs serve as your personal travel concierge to assist you in all aspects of your California trip with plenty of local, regional and statewide information. With its complimentary brochures, maps, relocation packets and free internet access, the California Welcome Center will be your first stop in Arcata. The knowledgeable Travel Ambassadors at the California Welcome Center will personally assist you with your travel plans on the Redwood North Coast. You'll find friendly staff, a wealth of pamphlets, guides, maps, and a unique gift shop with locally made crafts and goods to take home a souvenir.
 
Additionally, staff can assist you with information on Humboldt County's numerous campgrounds, state & national parks and recreational opportunities, attractions, shopping and more. Come visit some of our ancient forests - Arcata's Community Forest, Avenue of the Giants, Patrick's Point State Park, Redwood National State Park and Jedediah Smith State Park.
